Weymouth Bike Night - In memory of Brian Coombes
It was a pleasure to be invited down to the Weymouth Bike Night - In Memory Of Brian Coombes that is held every Thursday from April until September on the Weymouth Seafront. Not only is it an opportunity for bike lovers to get together whether you love bikes or whether you ride yourself on 2 wheels, 3 wheels or 4.
The main reason we went down was to announce the charity that was chosen by an online vote between The Veteran's Hub and Weymouth's Children Society Waves. The Veteran's Hub won the vote but they decided they would like the money split between themselves and Waves. We caught up with Andy Price from The Veteran's Hub and Anita Wingad of Waves, who explained all about what each of the charities do for the local community.
It was a great night although the weather was threatening to turn at any time after such a lovely day. It was great to see the bikes from across the board from a push bike up to those classics. (Our Nikki will learn more on her next visit to the Weymouth Bike Night... she will be back!).
So why not pop down and see their glorious bikes on display and support a couple of local charities at the same time.
