Action On Addiction Charity Bike Ride For Clouds House
On a very foggy Sunday morning the streets of Weymouth were awoken by several hundred motorbikes and trikes assembling for the 4th Charity Bike Ride. This ride was in aid of Clouds House and had a very pink theme. Waved off by the mayor (and of course Chesil Radio!) they started just after 10.30am to make their way along the coast road.
Starting this year from Lynch Lane in Weymouth, travelling to West Bay for a refreshment stop and then onto Exmouth. Their number grew at West Bay with other bikers joining the procession through to Exmouth. Bikers had travelled from miles around and there were many Facebook groups encouraging people to join them before the start coming across from Southampton and other areas and from further inland to join at West Bay.
It was a colourful flash of pink for a Sunday morning for a good cause. If you would like to donate there is a Just Giving Page: Action On Addiction 4 Supporting Clouds House. Last night the figure stood at £2,070 and sure more was collected along the way.
It was a real sight to see and many people captured them passing through along the coast road in their sea of pink. Well done to all who took part.
