The next meeting for the Weymouth "Damers Blinds" Wildcats is just around the corner versus the Wightlink Wizards from the Isle Of Wight.

The team for the Wildcats is: 1. Luke Barnes 2. James Jessop 3. Jake Fellows 4. Bailey Fellows. Bailey has been named as Captain.

The team have been out on various tracks training since the Chesil Radio Individual Challenge. Luke has recovered since his tumble at Eastbourne at the first meeting and JJ had a nasty tumble in practice at Scunthorpe at the weekend but promises to be fine for Saturday. The Fellows are both in top form from training although Jake had a few bike problems over the weekend, Bailey shone and showed that he is a star of the future and his bike problems at the challenge meeting sorted out. There is some footage from Scunthorpe of the boys racing who were up there including one heat which was almost a complete Wildcats one.

We know the commitment these boys have to the team and are training regularly together, which can only help them on their tricky track at Arlington Stadium in Eastbourne, the Wildcats home venue for this season. The team is shaping up to be a team to challenge for the SDL this year.

Late last night the Wightlink Wizards released their team for Saturday. Their team is: 1. Jamie Sealey 2. James Luckman 3. Chris Watts 4. Ben Ilsley.

An Isle of Wight resident James Luckman debuts for the Wightlink Wizards and he will fulfil a long held ambition to represent the island in a competitive speedway meeting. He has spent many hours practising at the "My First Skid" speedway school based at the IOW's home Smallbrook Stadium. The team members not picked are hoping to go along to support the team at Eastbourne on Saturday.

Barry Bishop said:" The Wightlink Wizards cannot wait to race against the Wildcats. We have a long history of working with the Wildcats promotion, who have done a tremendous job over recent years to bring the club back to the forefront of people's minds and enhanced this on the track. I could not think of another team I would like to make Wizard history with in their very first meeting and I cannot wait."

Chesil Radio will be live on Saturday from later time of 8pm with Caitlin in the hot seat for the first time. With the co-promoters commentating for the first time live with Nikki being away. The build up to Saturday will be every Breakfast Club and Drive Time this week on https://www.chesilradio.com

Tapes up for the SDL meeting approx 9pm.
