Appeal for information after alleged criminal damage in Weymouth, Dorset

Dorset Police Officers investigating alleged criminal damage in Weymouth are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 3.15am on Wednesday 30 August 2023 that a man was kicking cars on The Esplanade.

Damaged was caused to three vehicles that were parked in the area.

Officers attended and a 20-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Serita Savolainen, of Dorset Police, said: “I am really keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened.
“Also, if your vehicle was parked in the area and you have discovered any damage, please get in touch.”
