Axminster Guildhall Highlights - AJ's Big Band - Music Of Glenn Miller on 29th October 2023

The highly acclaimed big band, led by MD Ken Parr, makes a welcome return to Axminster Guildhall for a special afternoon concert. Remarkably, the seventeen piece band is celebrating it's fourtieth year of performing across the West Country and beyond. Following it's formation in 1983, the band rapidly built an enthusiastic following in the West. In 1985 it was chosen to play the role of the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 'Little Brown Jug' at the Northcott Theatre, Exeter.

Whilst the Axminster concert will feature the evergreen arrangements and songs from the Miller orchestra, the packed two set program will include other swing and jazz classics from the golden age of the big bands. Singer Jaqs Price Hughes will also bring her stunning vocal style to the performance. An outstanding musical event not to be missed.
