Recycled Poppies Find Their Place Finally At Nothe Fort

After the weather hampered the large event to launch the poppy art installation at the Nothe Fort in Weymouth, it has finally found it's home at the entrance to the Fort.

We Are Weymouth, in conjunction with the Nothe Fort, Houseworks Dorset CIC and Weymouth & Portland Litter Project have been working on this for a while, and when the day came to fix the poppies to the entrance and listed building, issues with the high winds delayed the plans. The poppies made from plastic bottles have been created at community groups to recycle, reuse and create this incredible display.

We are told that next year, it will be even bigger, and we just hope the weather is on your side. You can see the display at the entrance for a little while.
