Repair Cafe Re-Opens In Weymouth

Repair Cafe Weymouth returns after two years at a new location in Littlemoor at the recently re-named Bincombe Valley Children's Centre, known to many as Top Club in Littlemoor.
Chairman of Repair Cafe Ros Dean said: " We are thrilled to be opening at Top Club. It's a hidden gem, really spacious with a welcoming cafe and free parking. Our repairers and meet and greeters are really keen to get back to work as events are so friendly and sociable."
The events are held on the second Saturday each month (except July and August), from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Broken items are brought in to be repaired and the person who is bringing in the item can pick up new skills too.
The items that can be repaired range from electrical items, to gluing, to sewing and so much more. Any big repairs can be signposted to other groups like the Men's Shed or advice on other repairers. The items can also be donated once repaired to the new 'library of things' at Weyshare in Lennox Street.
Repair Cafe is always looking for more volunteers, especially a mechanical repairer, mobile phone/tablet screen repairer and more meet and greet people to help visitors to complete the forms when someone brings in an item to be looked at.
They are always looking for more items to repair at these events. Top Club can be found on Louviers Road, Littlemoor, Weymouth, DT3 6AY. For more information visit: www.repaircafeweymouth.org.
