Weymouth Town Council Grants To Celebrate Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Every council has their own way of celebrating and recognising events for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Weymouth Town Council's scheme is to offer £500 grants per group to meet the costs of community events over the special bank Holiday weekend (Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June 2022).
The money will not be able to be used to fund street parties in residential streets, however if a community group wished to hold a street party style event in a community hall/space/outdoor green, then they may be considered. Grants are not available for commercial events.
A diverse range of applications will be considered, but examples of events that could be eligible for this funding include community parties, picnics, flower shows, exhibitions or displays.
If you are interested in applying for a grant, visit: http://www.weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk/apply-for-a-grant-to-celebrate-the-queens-platinum-jubilee/. Applications close at 4pm on Friday 8th April 2022.
