Weymouth Town Council's Climate Emergency Declaration - Have Your Say...

A survey was launched to gather views on climate change in Weymouth and how it should be tackled. You have until Thursday 21st July to complete it with your thoughts.
Weymouth Town Council want to work with the community to create a more sustainable future for the whole of Weymouth and needs your help to ensure their Climate Change Strategy meets the needs of local people and their priorities.
Many have already completed the survey, with public transport and cycle path improvements needed, but they want to hear from you.
Cllr David Harris, Leader of the Council and spokesperson on the Climate and Ecological Emergency, said: “A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete our climate change action survey so far, it’s really important we hear your views on this important issue. Weymouth Town Council’s already committed to acting at a local level to reduce its carbon footprint to net zero carbon by 2030 but, we need everyone to play a part to help achieve this. “If you haven’t already filled in the survey, please visit the Commonplace website by Thursday 21st July, drop a pin on the map and suggest a localised action in your area to help create a greener, cleaner, healthier and more connected Weymouth for all.”
Make your voice be heard.
