Weymouth Town Council Stands With Ukraine

Today the Weymouth Town Council has released a statement on the Ukrainian Crisis.

It reads: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine, and also with their family and friends. We want you to know that you are all in our thoughts."

The statement issued in The Mayor Of Weymouth's name continues: "We condemn this unprovoked aggression and call upon President Putin to call off this assault"

But adds: "Although there is little that Weymouth can do about international events, we know our communities will do all they can to support those in peril and displaced by the conflict and hope that Dorset as a whole stands with us."
