Information we may receive
We may receive information you choose to send us, such as your name, email address, message and any details you include when you contact the station. If you enter a competition, we may use the information needed to record your entry, select and contact a winner, and arrange the prize in line with that promotion’s terms.
When you visit the website, Wix and other providers supporting the site may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, and security logs. The Radio.co player and other linked or embedded services may also receive technical information when you use them.
The site’s help chat can answer common questions in your browser. If you choose to submit a message through its form, the details you provide are sent through Wix Forms to Chesil Radio.
Why we use information
We use contact details and messages to reply to enquiries and requests, operate the site and protect it from misuse. We use competition entry details to run the relevant promotion and provide its prize. We may also use technical records to maintain security, troubleshoot faults and understand whether the site is working properly.
Depending on the activity, our lawful basis may be our legitimate interests in operating the station and responding to messages, taking steps you request, administering a competition you enter, meeting a legal obligation, or your consent where consent is required. The site uses essential browser storage to remember your cookie choice. The Radio.co live player is an external service and is not loaded until you allow external media in the cookie settings. When loaded, it connects your browser to Radio.co, which may use cookies or similar technologies under its own terms. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the site. Turning media off stops the player loading on future visits, but any third-party storage already placed may need to be cleared through your browser settings.
We do not currently add a separate advertising or analytics tracker to this website. External services can change their own technologies and practices; see their notices for details.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including responding to you, administering a promotion, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and keeping appropriate records. We review information and delete or anonymise it when there is no longer a valid reason to retain it. A competition’s own terms may explain any promotion-specific retention.
