Competition Terms & Conditions

   

These terms and conditions are the competition rules that apply to all competitions organised by Chesil Radio. In addition to the rules, other specific and additional terms and conditions may apply to a competition.  In the event of any issues arising between these rules and the additional rules, the additional rules will always apply.

Please note that all prizes given out are donated as gifts either by individuals, sponsors or charities. Chesil Radio does not benefit in any way financially from competitions and no cash is ever involved at anytime.  We provide this service purely for the entertainment of our listeners.

 

Each entrant must be over 18 years of age and resident in the UK to enter competitions. Also only one entry is permitted per person.

No prize can be transferred to any other person.  In addition no cash alternative prize is available at anytime. In the event of the advertised competition prize being unavailable Chesil Radio reserves the right to offer an alternative prize.  No Competition prize may be transferred or assigned to any other person. In addition no cash alternative prize is available.  If the prize becomes unavailable then Chesil Radio will attempt to offer a reasonable replacement prize based on availability.

Chesil Radio shall not be responsible for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering, or being unable to enter, any competition or as a result of accepting or participating in any competition prize.

Chesil Radio reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the competition rules.

Chesil Radio reserves the right to cancel or amend any competition at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within these rules or the additional rules or on the Chesil Radio website or Facebook page.
 
Chesil Radio cannot accept responsibility for any entries that are delayed by matters outside our control.  This includes but is not limited too faulty computer equipment or problems with software and internet use.
 
Where a competition has a closing date and time, all entries must be received before this time. Any late entries will not be included in the final draw to find a winner. By entering a competition, you confirm that all information submitted by you is accurate and complete.
 
Competition winners will be chosen completely at random.  By entering into any competition you also agree that the decision of the Chesil Radio management team is final.
 
Chesil Radio will notify the winner of any competition using the information available to them online.  Please note that all expenses including but not limited too personal insurance, unless stated, are the sole responsibility of the competition winner. 

 

Chesil Radio may stipulate a time in which a competition winner needs to contact Chesil Radio to claim a prize, if we do not receive any contact by the allocated time, we will then pass the prize over to a reserve winner.  This generally refers to prizes which are dated at specific times or need to be used before a specific date or time.

In the case of Competition prizes in the form of free entry or tickets for a particular event, Chesil Radio will contact the prize winner via email or Facebook as applicable. All competition winners shall be bound by the rules, including any additional rules that may apply.
 
All competition winners agree to their name and basic location details being published on-air and to their participation being broadcast, recorded and repeated by Chesil Radio without being entitled to any payment for this broadcast.
 
Any personal information relating to competition winners will be used solely in accordance with the Data Protection Act and will not be disclosed to any third party without the prize winner's consent.
 

No responsibility will be accepted for the posting of inaccurate competition prize details posted by Chesil Radio online.
 

We also reserve the right to modify the above Competition Terms and Conditions at any time, so please review them frequently.
