Image appeal following burglary in Bournemouth

Dorset Police Officers investigating a burglary in Bournemouth are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 2.20am on Wednesday 13 March 2024 the female occupant of an address in Christchurch Road woke up after hearing a disturbance and subsequently found a man in the kitchen of the property. The man immediately left when challenged and it is not believed anything was taken from inside the address.

It was subsequently discovered a lock to the shed in the victim’s garden had also been broken and entry gained. Again, it is not believed anything was stolen.

Police Constable Kieran Neville, of Bournemouth police, said: “This must have been a very distressing incident for the victim to wake and find an intruder in her property and we are carrying out detailed enquiries to identify the man involved.
“I am now in a position to release an image of a man we would like to identify and would urge anyone with information relating to his identify to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240038298. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
