A Devon and Cornwall Police officer has been charged with theft from a shop.
Police Constable Christopher Spence, aged 43, who is based in North Devon, is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Friday 22 March.
The charge relates to an incident reported to have taken place in Bideford on Monday 12 February whilst the officer was off duty.
PC Spence remains suspended from duty.
