Amazing News: Local Boy Rings Bell at Southampton General Hospital, Mum Thanks Local Community Support!

Incredible triumph! A brave five-year-old, Wilf, has triumphantly rung the bell at Southampton General Hospital, leaving his family overjoyed. But this victory wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible community.

Wilf battled neuroblastoma, a rare and life-threatening cancer, with his parents facing a daunting 50-50 chance of survival.

Determined not to let financial worries hinder their focus, thanks to your kindness, they raised a staggering £21,000 on their GoFundMe page, with our listeners and local pub rallying further during a memorable quiz night last January.

Now, two years later, Wilf has entered Year 1 at school full-time, free from regular hospital visits. Although a small hotspot remains in his chest, the cancer has vanished from the rest of his body.

Let's join together in sending heartfelt wishes to Wilf and his family as they embark on this new chapter, filled with hope and happiness!
