An Interesting And Useful Morning At Castle Cove Sailing Club

Being a representative of Chesil Radio, I'm always on the move, attending exciting events. And let me tell you, Wednesday's event was quite the adventure! Little did I know that Old Castle Road would put my stamina to the test to get there with its surprising length of the road and it's steep elements.

Weymouth Town Council pulled out all the stops, inviting local volunteer groups to dive into the world of social media and marketing. Even though I've been a Facebook aficionado for over 15 years, the presentation managed to teach me a thing or two.

Networking at its finest! The first meet-up was a blast, but the second one was even better. We caught up with familiar faces and marked our calendars for the jam-packed 2024, which promises to be a whirlwind for Chesil Radio. And boy, did we meet some incredible new folks too! They joined us for their inaugural event, making it even more memorable. The picturesque Castle Cove Sailing Club provided the perfect backdrop for this winter rendezvous, basking in the glorious sunshine.

Picture this: sipping coffee, indulging in delectable cakes, and engaging in laid-back conversations. It was also great not to have a microphone or camera viewing the action in person and adding to the discussions myself, talking about Chesil Radio, and not looking for content, although couldn't resist the photos!

The Weymouth Town Council's Communications Team took the stage, delivering insightful presentations on the power of Facebook and other marketing tools. Trust us, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss. So mark your calendars and let's catch up at the next event!

Grabbed the opportunity to catch the picture below, whilst walking back from the event!
